The South Korean qualifier for the PGL KeSPA Asia Minor has concluded, with MVP project and m0nster advancing to the $50,000 event taking place May 5-8.
Romanian company PGL teamed up with KeSpa, the governing body for esports in South Korea, to host the Asia Minor Championship in the Nexon eSports Arena in Seoul, South Korea from May 5-8, with $50,000 and two spots to the ESL One Cologne 2016 offline qualifier on the line.
After the completion of a China qualifier, a SEA qualifier, and a Oceania qualifier, the final remaining qualifier to determine the two allocated South Korean spots took place this weekend.
Renegades will have to fend off regional competition
Although external reporting from outside of the country on the Korea qualifier was scarce, it has been confirmed from sources that the two teams who survived the Korea qualifier and thus attained two spots at the Asia Minor are MVP Project and m0nster respectively.
Interestingly enough, the core of the current MVP Project lineup used to also play under the m0nster tag before they were picked up by one of South Korea's most successful esports organisations in late 2015.
With the South Korean qualifier completed, the teams list for the Asia Minor is as follows:

The PGL KeSPA Asia Minor runs from May 5-8 in Seoul with $50,000 and two Major qualifier spots on the line.
As the dates overlap with DreamHack Austin, HLTV.org will not be able to send a team to do on-site coverage however we will as always provide statistics and reporting from the event as it kicks off.
